Stereotypes of the Italians about the Russians: stages of development and their specificities

Abstract
The article reveals and addresses the history of development of the stereotypes about the Russians in the context of the Russian-Italian relationship. Owing to the fact, that every ethnic group has its own unique features, on which stereotypes are formed, when conducing the relations with a foreigner, it is important to know, which stereotypes there exist in his/her nation about the ethnic group of interlocutor and, consequently, which actions according to the formed pattern of behavior are expected by the foreigner. In the paper there are demonstrated the main stages of forming stereotypes of the Italians about the Russians from the ancient times up to the end of the XX century.
Аннотация
В статье рассматривается и анализируется история возникновения стереотипов о русских на примере российско-итальянских отношений. В силу того, что каждый этнос имеет свои уникальные особенности, на основе которых формируются гетеростереотипы, при выстраивании отношений с иностранцем, необходимо знать, какие стереотипы существуют в его нации об этносе собеседника и, соответственно, какие действия согласно сформированной модели поведения ожидаются иностранцем. В статье демонстрируются основные этапы формирования стереотипов итальянцев о русских с древних времен и до конца ХХ века.
